Diodes are semiconductor elements that conduct current in one direction and block it in the reverse direction. Different diode families are used to convert alternating current into direct current in rectifier circuits, to achieve low forward voltage loss in fast-switching stages, or to keep a voltage constant. This page covers the general usage principles of rectifier, Schottky and Zener diodes.
The key criteria in diode selection are the operating voltage of the circuit, the current to be carried, the switching speed and the package type. Since replacing one type with another before the application parameters are clear may affect circuit reliability, the values in the datasheet should be the basis in every project. For a diode suited to your application, you can share technical information and your quote request with our team in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul.
