The power electronics group covers semiconductor elements and modules that operate under high current and voltage. The catalog includes disc and stud-type phase control thyristors, inverter-class thyristors, bridge and module bridge diodes, fast-recovery diodes, welding machine production diodes, high-current and high-voltage diodes, power modules and high-voltage modules. Motor drives, rectifier stages and industrial power control panels are the main uses for these products.
When selecting, the blocking voltage, average and peak current values, switching or conduction speed, package and heatsink connection, and the cooling capacity of the circuit are the determining factors. A thyristor and a diode behave differently depending on whether they are used for phase control or rectification, so no type change should be made before the operating conditions are clear.
